NHS Cyber Security Roundtable – Virtual Event
From WannaCry to DSPT, NHS IT and security teams are under constant pressure to ensure patients are safe from cyber-attacks. Unfortunately, tight budgets, limited resources and evolving cyber threats often result in reactive measures rather than proactive protections.
To help educate their peers, experts from various NHS organisations are beginning to share their experiences in combatting cyber-attacks. By forming working groups, developing best practices for a variety of new security approaches, and most importantly sharing their guidance, these experts are quickly advancing adoption of new protections throughout the NHS.
In this pre-recorded roundtable session, Chad Holmes, Security Evangelist at Cynerio, was joined by:
- Andy Evans, Chief Cyber Security Officer, Birmingham and Solihull ICS
- Craig Robinson, Head of ICT, County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust
- Hubert Ametefe, Head of Cyber Security, Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Collectively, these NHS cyber security professionals discussed their experiences within the NHS and recommendations they have for their peers.
