Secure Remote Working

Two-factor authentication that supports multiple token types, including the NHS Smartcard

Secure-IT is a user-friendly, cost-effective, flexible, and scalable two- factor authentication solution. It allows the ever-increasing NHS mobile workforce to quickly and easily authenticate to a secure remote connection to access key systems and data. It removes technological barriers to remote working, increasing the productivity of NHS mobile staff and enabling mobile clinicians to give better patient care. Secure- IT is easy to implement and deploy, and requires minimal support and management. Its interface is simple and intuitive.

Key features

Secure-IT complies with all relevant NHS standards and uses the NHS Smartcards, hard tokens, and ‘soft’ mobile phone tokens (by way of an app, text message, or email) for authentication. The soft token works with all major network access platforms and is supported by multiple mobile devices, including Apple, Android, Blackberry, and Windows. Secure-IT enables mobile NHS staff to securely access their Trust’s network and applications using two-factor authentication.

We’ve worked in close partnership with ITHealth for years and benefit from their high level of service and innovation, in particular their Secure-IT remote access solution which supports our 6,000 field based staff and their access to critical systems.

The best thing about Secure-IT is its total flexibility. We found soft tokens are the best all round solution for securing remote access; they're more efficient, easier to manage and, above all, cheaper. Secure-IT works with all the different types of token, which means we can use assets we already have and users can have the token they prefer.
